As with any project I started with assessing where I would like to be when the Sunrader is finished. Ideally I want to be able to drive it anywhere, comfortably eat, sleep, write in my field journal and be self sufficient with regard to energy. Plus it has to look cool and be comfortable.
This is a big project. We all know there will be hidden gems inside just waiting to be discovered. It will require hours of research on topics I am not familiar with. Such as solar energy and making the three charging systems play nice together.
First steps is to get it water tight and find all the leaks. I already know the front windows, I love so much, are leaking and the front hatch. So, as we continue research and planning it is time to gut the front sleeping area, now called the loft and seal the leaks.
